Ruth Jenkins qualified as a solicitor in 1985, and was a partner in Nigel Steed and Co until its merger with JSM in July 2009. Ruth leads the family team at our Ipswich office, and is experienced in all aspects of family law including divorce, unmarried couple disputes, finances and children disputes, often including consideration of family or spousal business assets. Ruth is a Resolution member of many years standing and although neither a mediator nor a collaborative lawyer is committed to settling client’s disputes wherever possible, but without compromising her clients' interests. Ruth will undertake only privately funded work. As she also sits part time as a Tribunal Judge, Ruth has joined our firm on a part-time basis only.

Ruth is a trustee of two local charities supporting disabled young people and intends to develop a service within the firm offering advice on special education and disability rights and representation.
